In 2010, the Group became the world's largest producer of acetate solvents, with annual capacity increasing from 7,500 tons in 1993 to 700,000 tons in 2012.
In 2011, the foundation of a new coating plant was laid in Jinshan, Shanghai.
In 2013, the new butyl acrylate production line in Jiangmen, Guangdong Province started operation, further expanding our solvent product portfolio.
In 2015, Bauhinia Advanced Materials Group was established to manage the architectural coatings, industrial coatings and resin businesses of Yip’s Chemical.
In 2017, Mr. Ip Chi Shing (Tony), Chairman of Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited, adapted a true story from real life and released the charity film 20:16, spreading an inspirational message to society.
In 2018, the Group acquired Camel Paints and other brands to consolidate its paint market position in South China and create greater synergy with Bauhinia Advanced Materials Group.
In 2018, Yip’s Chemical Holdings invested in the Chinese automobile maintenance chain brand Damai, expanding into the automobile aftermarket.
In 2019, the new 550,000 ton production line of the Taixing solvent plant, Jiangsu successfully started operation, with a total capacity of more than 1 million tons per year, making it the largest acetate production base in the world.
In 2001, the Group was officially renamed Yip’s Chemical Holdings Limited
In 2005, the Group jointly formed Yip’s Pacific Limited with Hong Kong Pacific Oil & Chemical Company Limited, expanding into the special lubricant business in China.
In 2009, the solvent plant in Taixing, Jiangsu Province started operation, entering the solvent market in East China.
In 1990, Yip's Chemical building in Fanling, New Territories, Hong Kong was completed and became the Group headquarters.
In August 1991, the Group was listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange (SEHK Code: 408).
In 1992, Best Lubricant Blending Limited was established to develop the automotive and industrial lubricant business.
In 1993, the Group's first solvent plant in Jiangmen started production, producing ethyl acetate and butyl acetate.
In 1982, the Group established the Bauhinia brand to expand into the paint market.
In 1987, the Hang Cheung Petrochemical Factory in Buji, Shenzhen was completed, the Group's first plant in the mainland.
On 25 October, 1971, Hang Cheung Hong opened for business at 425 Queen's Road West, Hong Kong, selling chemicals, the predecessor of Yip’s Chemical Holdings.
