On 7thDecember, 2018, Bauhinia Ink was invited to participate in the award ceremony of theHong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Excellent Partner (Manufacturing) Awardjointly organized by the Environmental Bureau-Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province. 

At the award ceremony, Bauhinia Vairegata received theHong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Excellent Partner (Manufacturing)award from Mr. Tu Gaokun, Director of the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangdong Province. Over the past ten years, Bauhinia Vairegata Ink & Chemicals (Zhongshan) Limited has been awardedHong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Partner (Manufacturing)three times, but this is the first time it has won the “Excellent” award, which fully reflects the strong recognition of its continuous clean production work by the governments of Guangdong and Hong Kong.

Last year, we invested 983,600 CNY to "Replace metal halide lamps with high-efficiency, high-brightness, and explosion-proof LED lamps" and transform "high-viscosity screen ink production from an open three-roller to a closed sand mill." This large-scale cleaning program effectively reduces electricity expenditure and VOC emissions in the production area, improves environmental protection, saves energy, and reduces emissions. In the future, Bauhinia Variegata Ink will continue to promote and implement cleaner production, fulfill our corporate social responsibility, promote our own healthy and sustainable development, and at the same time contribute to the development of the industry.

The “Hong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Partnership Program” was jointly launched in 2008 by the Environmental Bureau, Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Department of Industry and Information Technology, Guangdong Province. It aims to encourage and assist Hong Kong-owned enterprises in the Pearl River Delta region to adopt cleaner production technologies, conserve energy, and reduce pollution, thereby improving the quality of the regional environment. Guangdong and Hong Kong launched theHong Kong-Guangdong Cleaner Production Partnerlogo scheme in August 2009 to commend companies for their good performance in cleaner production.
